For more than 25 years Dan Dan the Magic Man has travelled the Highways and Byways of Kansas to share joy, laughter, and a love of books to Summer Reading Programs throughout the state. WIth his trusty rabbit, Mario, and one or more of his magical children chipping in to help, Dan Dan has honed a special niche in the Kansas children's performers world. Literally thousands of young people have enjoyed his performances and children's librarians have regularly rebooked his program summer after summer.
This spring, Dan Dan will retire after 30 years at his "other" job as a teacher in the Great Bend school system. While he will be sad to leave his classroom, he now has the opportunity to bring his unique combination of magic and story-telling to an even larger audience-beyond the library.
While the Dan Dan the Magic Man show will still feature comedy, magic, suspense, audience participation, and a real live bunny. Now, the performance can be tailored to bring the message your school wants to bring to your students. Anti-Bullying, Substance Abuse Prevention, Literacy, Personal Health, virtually any lesson can become the theme and focus of the Dan Dan show.
Dan's 25 years as a professional children's entertainer and his 30 years as an educator guarantee that you will receive not only a first class, professional performance, but also a positive learning experience for your students. Memories will be made, imaginations will be ignited, and important lessons will be learned.
